1. Introduction of Goddess Aurora Statue Relief
Guido Reni (1575-1642) is a famous Italian Baroque painter, known for his elegant, soft and religious works. He was born in Bologna, Italy, and studied under the Carracci brothers, forming a unique style that combines classical aesthetics with Baroque drama. Reni is good at expressing religious and mythological themes. His paintings are full of idealized beauty and sacred solemnity. He is particularly good at using light and shadow to create the holiness and elegance of characters. One of his representative works, “Aurora”, is a mural in the Palazzo Pallavicini-Rospigliosi in Rome, depicting the scene of the dawn goddess Aurora leading the chariot of the sun god Apollo to greet the dawn.
