The Labrador Retriever originated in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, and was first bred as a working dog by local fishermen. They were originally called “St. John’s Water Dogs” and were famous for helping fishermen to salvage fishing nets and catch fallen fish. In the early 19th century, the Labrador Retriever was brought to Britain and improved with British hound breeds, gradually developing into the modern Labrador Retriever. This Labrador Retriever sculpture, made of exquisite bronze, shows the elegance and alertness. They are known for their excellent obedience, intelligence and docile character, and are excellent hunting dogs, guide dogs, search and rescue dogs, and family companion dogs.
The dog in the Labrador Retriever Sculpture is sitting, with a well-proportioned body, a broad chest, and obvious muscle lines, reflecting the strong and powerful body of the Labrador Retriever. The head is full, the ears are naturally drooping, and the eyes are looking forward, revealing a gentle and focused expression. The nose is wide, the mouth lines are smooth, and the details are very delicate. The Bronze Hunting Dog Sculpture is painted in warm brown tones and after polishing, it exudes a soft metallic luster.
