Arthur Strasser (1854-1927) was a well-known Austrian sculptor and painter. His works are known for figurative sculptures and Orientalist style. Strasser studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and became a professor there. His artistic career spanned many fields and his works were exhibited in international exhibitions many times. His creations were often inspired by exotic cultures, especially his fascination with Africa, the Middle East and other regions, which made his sculptures full of strong exoticism and storytelling. This Harp Player Statue, called “Chanteuse Nubienne”, vividly depicts a Nubian woman playing the harp. He is good at depicting human and animal images, paying attention to detail, giving the work a unique artistic charm.
In the sculpture, the figure is wearing a robe with rich folds. The Harp Player Statue carefully expresses the texture and flow of the fabric, showing a realistic dynamic effect. She holds a uniquely designed harp with a boat-shaped bottom and is decorated with exotic patterns and decorations, adding to the cultural symbolism of the work. There is also a little monkey in the sculpture, presenting vivid interactive details, making the work more lifelike and interesting. Welcome to contact us for more details.
