Savannah bird girl statue was created by Sylvia Shaw Judson, which original name of this sculpture is “little Wendy”. It is a garden sculpture commissioned by a family in Massachusetts. An eight year old model named Lorraine Greenman (now Lorraine Ganz) posed for this work. In 1994, it became the cover of the novel “Midnight Garden of good and evil”, became famous and changed its name to bird girl.
This sculpture is made of bronze. A beautiful little girl has shoulder length hair, wears a simple dress and tilts her head. It seems to be thinking and it’s very cute. She straightened up, her head leaning to her left shoulder, her elbow on her waist, and carried two bowls in her hand. Some people think that the posture of bird woman symbolizes the balance between good and evil. On the contrary, the bowl on her upturned hand is used to hold food or water for birds. We can make sculptures of different sizes as decoration, not only as outdoor decoration, but also as desk decoration. It is also very beautiful.
