Shakyamuni Buddha is the founder of Buddhism. The historical Prince Siddhartha became the Buddha after a profound practice and enlightenment. This Seated Buddha Statue faithfully reproduces the classic image of Shakyamuni Buddha. His teachings are the foundation of Buddhism and convey the path to liberation from suffering and attaining Nirvana. Shakyamuni Buddha is usually depicted sitting on a lotus seat, wearing a cassock, with a variety of hand gestures, symbolizing different Buddhist teachings. Among them, the “dhyana seal” symbolizes the Buddha’s inner tranquility and practice wisdom, while the “fearlessness seal” represents the removal of fear from all beings, giving courage and protection. The meaning behind these symbols is profound and conveys the Buddha’s compassion and enlightenment.
Both Buddha statues sit on lotus seats, representing purity and enlightenment in Buddhism. The left Buddha’s right hand is raised in the “fearlessness seal”, symbolizing the granting of peace and courage to all beings, and the left hand holds a pagoda, which symbolizes the inheritance and wisdom of the Dharma. The Buddha on the right holds an offering bowl in both hands, which symbolizes the Buddha’s practice and simplicity, expressing his renunciation of worldly desires and his selfless giving to all living beings. These Seated Buddha Statues are exquisitely detailed, showing a sense of solemnity and sacredness. The golden appearance enhances the sublimity of the Buddha statue, and the lotus seat design at the bottom also symbolizes the purity and enlightenment of the Dharma.
