In 1936, Shep’s owner died of illness and his body was transported back to his hometown by train. Since then, Shep would appear at the train station on time every day to wait for the arrival of the train, hoping to see his owner return. For five years, Shep never gave up and became a symbol of loyalty. This touching story spread across the United States and deeply touched many people. In order to commemorate Shep, the locals erected a Statue for him, which is the Faithful Shep statue.
